We are pleased to welcome Skye Whareaorere in her role as ambassador and cadet for Waitaha iwi. Skye will be introduced to all facets of Trust business, in addition to mastering frontline service delivery over the next 12 months. The cadetship programme offers a workbased learning opportunity, supported by coaching, and mentoring in preparation for the workforce. \\\”HE KUPU MAIOHA A SKYE\\\” \\\”I am proud of my Waitaha heritage, and have a passion for my iwi\\\”. \\\”I have just finished my NCEA level 3 at Te Puke High School, where I was also involved in mentoring fellow students, and a member of the sports committee\\\”. \\\”My hope is that other youth become involved at the marae, and feel welcomed like I do\\\”. \\\”My Mum and Aunty Raewyn are my role models, always supporting our marae, and whanau\\\”. \\\”I would like to thank whaea Whetu for her help and supporting me on my journey as the cadet for Te Kapu O Waitaha\\\”.]]>
