Waitaha Cultural Grant

This grant is to support and strengthen Waitaha pae tapu or tribal leadership.  These may include; -Te Reo -Whaikorero -Karanga -Waitaha tikanga/Matauranga -Waitaha history -Waitaha whakapapa -Karakia -Waiata moteatea -Kapa Haka

Aplicants must be a member of the Waitaha-A-Hei pae tapu

OR

The programme has endorsement from the Waitaha pae tapu.

Must be held at Hei Marae

Must comlpete the online form

Primary, Intermediate & Secondary School Uniform & Stationery Grant

A contribution towards school uniform and/or stationery.

Must complete the online application form

Must supply proof of enrolment from the school

Must supply uniform or stationery quote

Please note, you may only apply for one school grant within a 12 month period per child.

Bi-Lingual School Holiday Programme

To deliver a Waitaha Bi-lingual school holiday program

Must complete the online form

Must supply program details and budget

(If marae based, must be held at Hei or Haraki Marae or consideration to other venues if both Marae are booked)

Accountability is to prove that it was held

Drivers License

To support whanau with attaining their restricted drivers license

Must have your learners license

Hakaraia Tertiary Education Grant

To support students to attain their under graduate degree

Must complete the online form

Must supply proof of enrolment

Must supply proof of tax invoice fees for the year 2025

Must provide verified bank details

Must provide photo ID

Te Houhou Health Scholarship

To support students to attain their under graduate degree in the health sector

You must be studying in the health sector

Must complete the online form

Must supply proof of enrolment

Must provide verified bank details

Must provide photo ID

Must supply proof of tax invoice fees for the year 2025

Hakaraia Wananga:

Trade Apprenticeship Grants

To support students to attain a trade qualification

Must complete the online form

Must supply proof of enrolment or proof of apprenticeship employment

Must supply proof of costs for the year 2025

Must provide verified bank details

Must provide photo ID

Discretionary Grant

Applications are considered at the discretion of the Grants Sub-Committee on a case by case basis for educational kaupapa that may not meet the criteria of currently funded grants.

These are usually "one off" grants.
