In May this year we announced that we would be establishing the electronic archive enabling Waitaha accessibility to documented and audio video of Waitaha history. We are in the process of developing the structure for this to occur with tangatawhenua.com, and have recently appointed Wena Harawira as the dedicated personnel who will lead this development. Wena has vast experience in documentaries, archive structures and classifications. She has recently completed work for Heritage New Zealand, and had acknowledgement from NZ Archives and film for previous archival and record management projects. An added benefit is, that Wena is fluent in te reo with extensive professional background in translations, and Maori documentary film. The Trust looks forward to setting the blueprint for a repository of all Waitaha histories as an ongoing resource for generations to come.]]>
