The position is Permanent 32 Hours per week servicing the Te Puke area including Papamoa East and responsible to Te Manu Toroa Early Years Services Manager and Waitaha Hauora Governance Board The Well Child / Tamariki Ora (WCTO) service objective is to support families, whānau and caregivers to maximise their child’s developmental potential and health status from birth to five years, establishing a strong foundation for ongoing healthy development; to work in partnership with families and whānau to identify their strengths and their needs for support and either provide that support or facilitate access to support from other health or community services, especially for those children of families and whānau at risk of adverse outcomes The ideal applicant’s personal attributes and skills should aim to include:- Meeting the Police Vetting requirements
- A positive role model for other whānau
- Experience in working with mama and whānau in the community
- Level 3 Computing Skills and familiarity with office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience with Patient Management Systems would be advantageous
- A qualification in Hauora Maori or Community Services would be advantageous
- Current clean full driver’s licence
- Knowledge of Te Reo and Tikanga is advantageous
- Ability to engage and build a positive, professional rapport with whānau and tamariki in the prescribed geographical areas
