IWI MANAGEMENT PLAN CONSULTATIONS – HUI A IWI

As a result of funding from EBOP Regional Council, and Tauranga City Council, Waitaha Iwi Management Plan(IMP) is now underway.  The contents of the iwi management plan (IMP) will depend on the priorities and preferences of Waitaha iwi and is expected to cover more than resource management issues under the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA). More importantly the Iwi Management plan will address economic, social, political and cultural values in addition to environmental and resource management issues. Iwi consultations will be held on Sunday 31^st August, followed by the presentation of a Draft for ratification on 14^th September.  The final Iwi management plan will be presented to Waitaha 28^th September 2014.  All hui are at Hei Marae commencing 9.30am – 12.00pm.]]>
