WAITAHA CELEBRATIONS

Matariki Waitaha celebrated Matariki this year with a range of activities with particular emphasis bringing Waitaha whanau together.  We thank the Marae committee, and nga Koeke, exhibitionists, tutors, and Te Puni Kokiri for their support in making this happen for everyone to enjoy. Amazing Grace – Wahine Toa! We wish to congratulate Grace for her amazing half marathon finish on the Gold Coast 1st June 2014.  She ran the 21.1km in the heat…and finished with a time of 1.53:13.  We are all both inspired and proud by her efforts.   End of Year Celebrations   We will be working with Nga Koeke to establish Waitaha End of Year celebrations.  The purpose of this is to provide opportunity for all whanau to reunite, re-kindle our connections with intrinsic past.  This year we may look at incorporating additional festivities subject to weather conditions.  Watch this space whanau.]]>
