Who can Register?

  • Every individual who is descended from Waitaha-ā-Hei and is 18 years or older

Why Register?

  • To be notified of iwi wananga, events, panui, hui
  • To receive information of benefits that you may be entitled to e.g. (Waitaha Grants and Te Arawa Fisheries Scholarships)
  • To vote on Waitaha matters, and Trust elections

Descendant from Waitaha-ā-Hei
The Whakapapa kōmiti consists of Waitaha koeke. Their role is to validate the whakapapa of all applications applying to be included on the Trust roll. As such, the komiti reserves the right to decline any application for registration who is not a descendant from Waitaha-ā-Hei. All decisions are full and final.
